about

Slaves BC is a doomy blackened-hardcore band from Pittsburgh,
Pa. Slaves BC was formed at the end of 2010 by 3 long time friends:
Josh Thieler (Vocals/Drums), Sean Singer (Guitar/Vocals), and Rick van
Newkirk (Guitar). They immediately began writing their first demo
“This World Shall Pass Away”. Josh Thieler asked Jason Cantu (Bass)
to join the band on the first day of recording in June of 2011. The
demos were recorded at Bloodbot Studios with George Thieler.
Slaves BC spent the next year writing and recording more
material, and they did not start playing shows until the summer of
2012. Since then, they have shared the stage with bands such as
Lord Mantis, Atlas Moth, Atriarch, and Once Nothing.
In October of 2012, Slaves BC went to Very Tight Recordings to
record their self-released “we mean nothing.” EP. This EP showcased
the blend of Slaves BC’s writing style with 3 genre bending songs.
In February of 2013, Slaves BC again entered Very Tight
Recordings to record songs for the upcoming split 7’’ with Cousin
Sleaze (NY).
Slaves BC are currently anticipating their first release on Veritas Vinyl Records. It will be a split 12'' record with Grace & Thieves. This release is expected in summer of 2014. It will feature 2 songs re-recorded from their "This World Shall Pass Away" Demos and 2 brand new songs.
