I was out weedeating the lawn listening to this when I suddenly tripped and fell. Well the fucking weedeater sliced a gashing wound into my leg. My neighbors saw this and called 911. When the paramedics arrived they found me wriggling on the ground with headphones still on. They attempted to provide emergent care but I adamantly refused and said, "just let me enjoy this album, its the only pain killer I need, thanks." Crestfallen, they left while I bled to death. Mmm, such a good album!

A truly stellar death/doom album with heavy doses of black metal. Tracks like Isolation, Child of Light, and Broken Hymns deliver the sorrowful and icy tone of this album, elevated by the stirring cello compositions of Raphael Weinroth-Browne. The album delivers a deeply satisfying crescendo in Becoming Intangible before stirring the soul once again with Epilogue.
